Backstory:
Created as a clone of the Joker, but with a firm (?) grasp his counterpart's insane nature, he is able to keep it dormant. Joseph Kerr was militarized at a young age to combat his worst half. Always resentful of the fact the he shared similar traits in the looks department, Joseph wore a mask as much as possible. The mask used to be without design, that is until Joker found out about his clone. He was infuriated, knowing that there was another clown like him out there, and that he wanted nothing more than to wipe him off the face of the earth. Joseph found this funny, and started masquerading in his own version of Joker's original get-up. He also emblazoned his mask with a joker-like face. He started calling himself "Joeker", a play on his first and last name. Joker was livid when he found out that there was a second "Joeker" in Gotham. He went looking for this "Joeker" and when he found out it was his clone, all hell broke loose. A massive battle ensued between the two, a battle that would have been the death of them both, that is, if the Batman didn't intervene. The Batman and his newest partner, The White Bat. While Batman subdued Joker, White Bat tried to stop Joe. Not wanting hurt her, he surrendered. She seemed confused. He told her she wasn't his enemy, only Joker. She seemed skeptical, and asked why she should trust that he would really just let her arrest him. He told her that he didn't blame her for not trusting him. He told her that no one in their right mind would trust someone with the face of the Joker. She stood there, unsure of what to say or do. He told her if she wanted to take him in, he'd let her, but he wasn't her enemy or Gotham's. Just Joker's. She told him if she let him go he'd have to stop trying to kill Joker, because villain or not, murder is murder. She told him if he swore to her to use non-lethal methods only, she'd allow him to assist in Joker's capture whenever he escaped from Arkham Asylum. Joe didn't like the conditions of the agreement, but reluctantly agreed. She told him to leave before Batman finished with Joker and handed him a Batwave. He thanked her and took off. From that point on, Joeker has helped from behind the scenes, whether or not it's needed, as long as it pisses off Joker.

Months later, the Joker took the mayor of Gotham hostage. He said he had planted bombs in the city, and would detonate them if his demands weren't met. Joeker was dispatched by his employers to stop the Joker at any cost. That meant shoot to kill permissions. As Joeker rushed in headlong ready to finally end the Joker once and for all, he fell right into Joker's trap. An explosion engulfed the building, nearly taking Joeker with it. As he recovered, he was mortified to find the body of the man he was sent to save in the rubble of the building. Joker had tricked him into doing his job for him. Joeker's mind would never be the same after that. He received a call from his employers, telling him he was suspended indefinitely for his failures. After killing an innocent man and losing his job, Joeker's mind began to slowly unravel. As he made his way out of the ruins of the funhouse, he met a new friend. He looked alot like Joeker, and said he came to help. He told Joeker that he wasn't at fault and to smile, because everything would be alright. Feeling a bit better, Joeker asked this new friend what their name was. He told him to call him Grin... (Continued in TwigSnapped)
