This was it.
He'd tracked them for this long.
He followed them across the US.
He had followed them across the Atlantic.
Now he'd finally caught up with them.
How could he not of?
It's not like they even try to cover their tracks.
If you needed to find them, all you needed to do is follow the flashing lights, and deafening sound, and the devastation they left in their
wake.
He had done just that, and it had led him here, to Rio.
Rio De Janeiro.
He could still see Christ The Redeemer up on the rocks, or least what was left of it.
Those demons made sure to bring that monument crumbling to the ground, effectively raising hell in the most literal of senses.
From there, the razed Rio, bringing a once great city to ruin.
The city was now just a wasteland of demolished buildings and annihilated corpses.
And that is where he stood, in that graveyard of a city, looking for the monsters responsible for the horror.
A severe contrast to the ruin around him, like a beacon cutting through darkness.
Dressed in bright shades of reds, yellows and whites.
A set of aviator goggles adorned the top of his head, nearly lost in his mass of fiery red hair.
Who was he?
No one knew.
He was just known as The Beat.

The Beat surveyed the area, looking for any signs of life among the ruination. He knew they had been here recently. The blood was still fresh, and it was everywhere. How could there not be, when you use infrasound weapons that exceed 240 decibels? All the city's inhabitants were blown to pieces. Limbs and organs littered the streets, and the smell of death and decay was near overwhelming. That is, for an ordinary human, and The Beat was anything but. He grabbed his flowing scarf and wrapped it around his nose and mouth, blocking out some the rotting scent. He still didn't hear them, which made him uneasy. Rave and Glitch were one thing, with their erratic techniques and distracting tactics, but getting get caught off guard against Bass was a death sentence. He was their trump card, the reason they were able to wreak so much havoc in so little time. His Drops were deadly, and it only took him getting close enough to strike that killing blow.

But right now, he heard nothing. And that concerned him. Where were they? As he continued his trek through the ruined city, he saw something flash out of the corner of his eye. He donned his goggles. He needed to be prepared. He placed his hand on his weapon sheathed behind him, his Sledgehammer, and oversized mallet with an insane smiley face emblazoned on it's side. Moments later, he struck.

Rave appeared in a flash, swiping his razor sharp claws, with intent of ripping out his throat. He was already in his Trance, The Beat would have to remain on the defense for the time being. He swung his Sledgehammer, deflecting Rave and sending him flying into the air. A deafening sound wave tore through the dead city upon impact. Rave recovered quickly however, and flashed back toward him. The Beat prepared himself for Rave's attack. If he timed it right, he'd land a Boost, and it would give him a chance to go on the offensive. Rave was unstoppable unless dazed, which is why he was so dangerous. He wound back his Sledgehammer, prepared to strike. And as Rave struck, so did he. The air blast created by the clash ruptured the ground around them. Rave was set sprawling, losing his rhythm. His routine had been halted, he was out of his Trance, and now was the time to strike.

The Beat lept into the air, winding back his Sledgehammer. He brought it crashing down, sending a sonic soundwave directly at Rave, tossing him back into the air. The Beat flew forward and batted Rave straight into the ground. A shockwave exploded as Rave impacted with the ground, leaving him lying in a crater. He was down, but not out. It was going to take a lot more than that to kill the leader of the Devils. He was, however, out of commission. At least for the time being. Now it was time to find the other two. Before they find him.

As he The Beat turned around, he only had seconds to dodge a barrage of Acoustic grenades. Glitch was here. Where though, he didn't have a clue. Glitch had a penchant of hopping from place to place, glitching in and out of reality. That's how he was able to attack from virtually anywhere. There was no way to predict his pattern. As The Beat continued dodging the sound explosives, he tried to spot Glitch. Glitch had a habit of leaving behind a cloud of smoke to mark his last location. Though it wouldn't help him predict Glitch's next move, he'd at least know where he was last. Glitch also never seemed to appear in the same place twice. He was similar to lightning in that respect, and just as deadly. The Beat needed to get back the advantage, or he was as good as dead. He still hadn't seen Bass, and that was starting to concern him greatly. He needed to pin down Glitch, and fast. His emerald eyes darted around area, and he finally spotted a quick glimpse of him. Luckily, Glitch's bright purple and blue tunic made him to spot. He was hopping from the tops of the fallen buildings that surrounded them, lobbing his explosives using the sentient belts that hung off his tunic. Remembering the one constant habit of Glitch's tactics, The Beat hatched a plan. This was going to require some serious finesse, and a nearly perfect shot. He sped up, breaking into a full sprint. He dodged and weaved between the explosions around him, each one sounding off at a different pitch. Some were meant to disorient, causing blurred vision, or loss of hearing, while the others were meant to kill you on the spot, loud enough to even rupture your internal organs. The Beat kept an eye on the rooftops for the trails of smoke. Following the pattern, he was almost positive he knew where Glitch would strike next. Lifting his hammer high, he slammed it down, and propelled himself into the air, towards the nearest rooftop. He rocketed forward, in Front Kick formation. If he had calculated correctly, this is where Glitch would appear next. Glitch's Hop was very useful, but it did have one drawback. Glitch was blind when mid-Hop. As Glitch appeared, he met with the business end of The Beat's boot, sending him flying off the roof. The Beat followed up a Sledgehammer slam, sending Glitch crashing to the ground below. Glitch was dangerous from a distance, but in close combat, he shattered like glass. Two down, one to go.

Suddenly, The Beat was stricken with severe nausea. He was finding it hard to breathe as well. He had to move, and fast. The Beat leapt from the building as an air blast ripped through it, creating a massive explosion. If he hadn't leapt when he did, his body would have been obliterated from the impact. Bass had finally come out of hiding. He still couldn't see him, but for that blast to be so powerful, he had to be close. The closer Bass is, the more lethal was his Drop. Bass' Drop is a supersonic roar. The sound created is like that of a massive air blast, amplified a thousandfold. He can demolish buildings, or obliterate an entire human being with it. And the more he uses it, the louder it becomes. Like breaking a knob off a stereo, he only gets louder once he starts his Drop. The Beat needed to locate him and fast.
If he was quick enough, he could shield himself from the Drop using his Sledgehammer. By landing it perfectly, he could strike a Boost, and hopefully stop Bass before he amplifies and becomes unstoppable. And if things got too hairy, he still had his trump card. Hopefully, it wouldn't come to that.

As he regained his bearings, he braced himself for another attack. He gripped his hammer tightly, ready to swing at moments notice. Bass could be anywhere, and he needed to be prepared to dodge. And to make matters worse, it was getting dark. If Rave were to recover, he would have a serious advantage in the dark. His body naturally flashed and blinked in and out at random intervals, allowing him to easily blind and disorient his opponents. The Beat's fears were realized as he ran by the crater he left Rave in. He was gone. This wasn't good. Those two are deadly as a team. The Beat was going to have to reassess his options. That is, if he didn't need to dodge another Drop from Bass. The blast ripped through the ground, creating a rift in the ground. And from that rift, emerged Rave, leaping at The Beat, claws at the ready. Rave ripped into The Beat, slicing the right side of his face open. The Beat jumped back, trying to regain his ground as the right side of his vision went red. The blood was pooling behind his goggles, obscuring his vision. He pulled them from his face, and tossed them aside. He braced himself for the next attack. Rave flashed in front of him, flashing and slashing away again. He was back in his Trance, and his rhythm was better than ever. The only recourse The Beat had was to try to shield himself with the head of his Sledgehammer. As he did, he started feeling nauseous again, meaning Bass was charging up for another Drop. And then he saw him. His blue and red features lit up by Rave's flashing form. His eyes were swirling pools of madness, and his pierced, forked tongue hung out of his mouth hungrily. He was taking in a large gulp of air, the rings that lined the insides of his throat lighting up as he did. He was preparing a very powerful Drop. If he was caught in it's blast, he would be ripped to shreds. He needed to move, and now. The Beat rolled away from Rave's assault, as Bass let loose his Drop. The shockwave tore through the ground, rupturing the concrete and launching The Beat into the air. He was sent sprawling, landing several meters away and skidding into a wall. As he tried to recover, Rave was already on the move. He could see the flashes of Rave's Trance, but couldn't pinpoint it with his limited vision. As Rave flew towards him, he made his decision. He would have to engage Overkill. He waited for Rave to strike, gripping the handle of Sledgehammer. As Rave attacked, The Beat unsheathed the Sword Of Destiny kept hidden inside of his Sledgehammer's handle. The blow was quick and swift, cleaving Rave in half. Rave fell to the ground, split right down the middle. The Beat resheathed The Blade Of Destiny. One down, one to go. He turned his attention to Bass. It seemed he had witnessed the death of his leader. Bass' eyes burned with rage as he glared at The Beat. The Beat prepared The Sledgehammer and the Sword Of Destiny for his ultimate attack. It was time to Massacre.

Bass was already charging up for one last attack. After this, he would amplify, and become unstoppable, a never ending shockwave of sound. It was now or never. He would either stop Bass, or die trying. Bass' charge was peeking, now was his chance. The Beat bolted forward, one weapon in each hand, prepared to strike a killing blow. Bass let loose his Drop directly at The Beat. The blast was so intense, you could actually see the blast wave. But The Beat did not falter in his attack, even though he felt his lungs about to burst, and his eardrums had long since ruptured. He swung the Sword of Destiny, cutting through the blast wave, allowing him run through the air blast. He then slammed his Sledgehammer down, propelling himself into the air. As he rocketed toward Bass, he readied both weapons. The Beat struck, slamming the Sledgehammer over Bass' head, creating a massive shockwave that ripped through Bass' skull. As he The Beat heard the sound of Bass' shattering braincase, he delivered the killing blow, lopping off Bass' head with the Sword Of Destiny. Bass' severed head dropped to the ground and his body followed suit. Soon after The Beat collapsed to his knees. He gripped his chest, trying his hardest to catch his breath, but he knew it was futile. His time was up. He felt to the ground, his vision fading fast. His lungs had ruptured, filling his arteries with air bubbles. He could feel his body shutting down. There was no fighting it. He had a good run. He smiled, happy to know he had died fulfilling his Legacy. As his eyes closed, he spoke a single word.

"Sayonara..."
Ok, where to begin...
I literally pulled this entire scenario from nowhere.
I was bored, and wanted to write SOMETHING...
So, here ya go.
I hope you enjoy this half as much as I enjoyed writing it.
I'm serious.

Enjoy~
